The American pro beach volleyball season officially kicks off this weekend with Albert Hannemann's National Volleyball League in Baltimore, MD. Though many of the top players will be competing internationally with the FIVB Tour in the Czech Republic for the men and in Poland for the women, there will be some familiar names in attendance for the NVL. On the men's side are John Hyden and Sean Scott and Casey Patterson and Brad Keenan. The top women's team will be Lisa Rutledge and Annett Davis.

The athletes will play in conjunction with the running of the Preakness and the semis and finals will take place on the infield of the track. The matches can be seen online on the Tour's website, www.theNVL.com.
