David's Comeback!

We could not picture the pain and the horror he went through last summer. It was not easy for David but in the end he managed to stand on his feet again, share his story to the rest of the world and play his favorite sport again, ie volleyball of course!

This is David Vales’ story…  He started painting  a barn at Camp Wayne in Preston Park, Wayne County when a “boom lift that hoisted him up along a wall, an electric arc generated from a nearby wire sent a bolt into the back of his head, through his body, before exiting through his back.” He passed out with burns on his body and the fight for survival began. The heat of the current was (estimate) at 36,000 volts. David’s face turned as black as coal and his skin started peeling away.  Read more
