"The 2009 ITF Beach Tennis Tour kicked off in style in Munich over the weekend of March 28th & 29th, with the inaugural German Indoor Championships welcoming over 100 players to the event."  

The inaugural ITF Beach Tennis Tour brings the number of ITF-sanctioned Circuits to six. Beach tennis joins the ITF Junior Circuit, ITF Men’s Circuit, ITF Women’s Circuit, ITF Seniors Circuit and NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour. Beach Tennis activities will come under the responsibility of the ITF Professional Tennis Department. "
